Robert and Andi prefer to emphasize form and design over decorative concerns. They work within a restrained palette to obtain patinas that evoke the archaic and primordial. The clay is low-fired white earthenware finished with a variety of glazes which include wood ash, engobes, and terra sigillatas. Andi utilizes a wide variety of forming techniques in the construction of the ceramics: wheel-throwing, extruding, slab building and press molding. Robert does all the metal and electrical work.
